What are the transfer window dates?
Not all European countries work the same way.
Ligue 1 and the Premier League are aligned: the transfer window opens on June 10 and closes on September 1, 2022. Small difference for the three other major leagues on the continent, namely Serie A, La Liga and the Bundesliga, which do not will only open their transfer window on July 1.

In Turkey, clubs will be able to recruit until September 8.
In Portugal, Benfica or Porto can hire until September 22.

Why won't the transfer window close at midnight?
As we know, many transfers only materialize in the last hours of the transfer window.
Hence the initiative of the LFP to close it on Thursday September 1, 2022 at 11 p.m. and not at midnight “

” to the League.
In other words, the LFP grants almost an extra day for the paperwork to be settled.

This new schedule will allow clubs to finalize their international transfers more serenely on the FIFA TMS application, the closing time of which remains midnight

This will be valid for Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
Is the crisis still impacting transfers?

The International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) had estimated at 5.8 billion euros the expenditure on transfer compensation by the clubs of the 5 major European championships in the summer of 2019. A record.
