The defeat against Denmark (1-2) at home and the draw conceded in Croatia (1-1) do not reassure the French.
According to an Odoxa poll for Keneo and RTL broadcast this Thursday evening on the eve of the third League of Nations match against Austria, the France team worries 44% of French people and 59% of football fans.
All six months before the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
"Football fans swing between short-term explanations and more structural background problems", explains the results of the survey.
For 47% of those questioned among football fans, the poor results can be explained above all by the schedule of matches scheduled at the end of the season.
They point to “tired” and “less motivated than normal” players.
But 52% of football fans go further: 19% believe that the Blues have "shown mental weaknesses", 19% that the "tactical choices are not good" and 14% highlight the "weakness defensive" of the France team.
Despite all this, 80% of football fans still trust Didier Deschamps.
“The coach knows where he is going from the tactical point of view, the animation and the composition of his team”, estimate these 80%.
Finally, French football followers do not express a great passion for the three-man defense put in place by Deschamps' staff since 66% are in favor of a return to a four-man defense.
