Hapoel Gilboa / Maayanut won the Israeli championship for the 2021/2022 season after a 95:99 away victory over Hapoel Tel Aviv and 1: 2 in the playoff final series.

Hundreds of fans came to the high school in Tel Aviv and provided a great atmosphere. The northern team was better at the opening, but the hosts returned towards the break.

The visitors also started the third quarter well and gained a promising advantage thanks to Yoav Berman who scored 30 points and was chosen as the outstanding player of the playoff final series and of course the excellent coordinator Niv Lampert (25 points).

Hapoel Tel Aviv did not break again, returning from minus 13 to minus 2, when Eli Dolinsky sniped no less than 37 points to keep his team close, but in the end Gilboa withstood the pressure and won the title rightly.

During the game, Hapoel Tel Aviv fans lit candles and twice caused a power outage in the high school. The game was stopped for about 10 minutes before it resumed.

Gilboa / Maayanut wins the first championship in its history and completes a historic double after winning the cup earlier this season.

Hapoel Tel Aviv will continue to wait for its first title in the Youth Premier League.
