Four-time NBA champion LeBron James dreams of his own basketball team in Las Vegas.
'I'd like to own a crew.
I want to buy an NBA team, for sure.
And I want it to be in Vegas," the 37-year-old basketball player said in a recorded conversation for The Shop series, which airs Friday night (local time) in the United States.
James was recently declared a billionaire by Forbes magazine.
James is the first active NBA professional to break the $1 billion barrier in revenue.
In the past year alone, the basketball superstar is said to have earned 121.2 million from the Los Angeles Lakers through salary and advertising.
He is the most popular player in the NBA and is at the center of a debate as to whether Michael Jordan or himself is the best basketball player in history.
James is currently under contract with the Los Angeles Lakers but missed the playoffs with the team this season.
LeBron made the statement just days after a press conference held by NBA boss Adam Silver on the sidelines of the NBA Finals.
When asked about an upcoming expansion of the league, Silver had said that "currently" there were no plans or talks about it.
Silver denied rumors that the league would add teams from Seattle and Las Vegas after the upcoming season and increase the number of teams from the current 30 to 32.
"That's not true," he said in San Francisco last week.
The gambling paradise of Las Vegas is already home to teams from the NFL (American football) and NHL (ice hockey), and a relocation of the Oakland A's baseball players is always an issue.
