Bigger than life:
Diana Weissman today (Saturday) equaled her Israeli record in the 100-meter dash, after setting a result of 11.25 seconds, and finished in first place in the Union Cup competition held at Hadar Yosef Stadium in Tel Aviv.
This is Weissman's fastest result since 2019, when he set the record at the Balkan Championships, when at the Tokyo Olympics, the fastest woman in Israel was close to it, finishing with a result of 11.27 seconds and finishing in 23rd place overall.
Last week, Weissman won the competition in Athens with a result of 11.18 seconds in the 100 meters, but due to an illegal wind, this result was not recorded as a new Israeli record.
In general, the 23-year-old Weissman opened the year 2022 in a great way, when in February she broke the Israeli record for 60 meters with a result of 7.23 seconds.
The runner hopes to continue to the best of his ability, and to reach the big events of the summer - the World Championships and the European Championships.
