Syria's junior national team continues its preparations for the West Asian Championship, which will be hosted by the Jordanian city of Aqaba on the twentieth of this month, in which our team will play in Group B along with the teams of Palestine, Lebanon and Kuwait.
Our team had set up its first camp between the 18th of last May and the first of this month in Damascus, during which it played two friendly matches with Al-Karama and the Army, in which our team won by the same result by four goals to two goals.
The second stage of preparation began on the fourth of June and continues until the day of travel to Jordan on the nineteenth of it and includes morning and evening training and experimental matches to raise the pace of preparation and focus on the elements that will represent the team in the tournament. In a statement to SANA, national team coach Mustafa Ragab said: We relied on the players who participated in the tournament last year, which is a homogeneous and understanding group, and because of the lack of time, there was no opportunity to try new players in addition to entering the exam time, which affected the preparations and the commitment of the players within the training and specific program.
