Three junior gymnasts from TSV Weilheim started at the Bayern Cup in Unterföhring.

Emil Luge had a great chance of bronze until the last device.

Weilheim - There was not much missing, and the gymnastics department of TSV Weilheim would have gone home from the Bayern Cup in Unterföhring with a medal.

In the age group of eleven to 13-year-olds, Emil Luge was on the verge of taking a podium place in performance class III.

A fall on his last device, the parallel bars, prevented the coup.

In the end, Luge finished fourth out of twelve participants – according to a TSV announcement, an “excellent place”.

Luge showed a consistently good six-way fight.

On the pommel horse (10.30 points) and on the rings (11.60), he achieved the highest score in his age group.

Luge was second best on floor (12.0) and high bar (9.90).

The TSV gymnast was 0.50 points short of the bronze medal.
