Wesley Snyder is considered one of the most talented midfielders in the world of football in the last generation.
The Dutchman who retired from football three years ago won a treble with Inter in the 09/10 season and today (Sunday) he provided some very interesting quotes in an interview in Italy and claimed he could have been at the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo if he had lived a more sporty life.
"I could have turned into something like Leo Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, I just did not feel like doing it. I enjoyed life, I drank wine at dinner," Snyder said, "maybe Leo or Cristiano are different from me, they did a lot of fights for their careers. It's. "Okay, for me, my career was still extraordinary."
Wesley Sneijder: “I could have been as good as Leo Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, but I just did not feel much for it.
I love life and drank a glass of wine here and there.
Leo and Cristiano are different.
They sacrificed so much.
That's fine.
My career was still great. ”

Snyder added that since retiring he has gained weight: "I was not aware that moving to Real also meant beyond Madrid's nightlife I was drawn to it. I was young, I enjoyed the success and loved all the attention. It was the stage where things started going against me in my life. I did not use drugs, but "Yes in alcohol and I had a rocker lifestyle, as one of Real's stars."
