It's a little money: the crazy sums running this summer in Israeli football

Is life in Israel expensive?

Football adapts itself to the new reality: 4 million euros for Hamudi Canaan and Eden Kartzev, 2.5 million euros for Eitan Azoulay and imaginary sums for Osher Davida and Doron Leidner.

This summer shows that what Maccabi Haifa paid for Din David a year ago was a bargain

We ticked off, summary of the events of Saturday, June 11 (Sports 1)

Dean David's acquisition was one of the best deals made within the Premier League in recent years.

This is a proven striker, who gave a record season at MS.

Ashdod, and was acquired for a million euros by Maccabi Haifa.

Jackie Ben Zaken also received an option for a player from the youth department of Maccabi Haifa and on loan Guy Dahan, who has now moved to Austria after playing for Umm al-Fahm.

But the main story is the amount: a million euros, an amount that will be seen this summer as an end-of-season operation in relation to what the teams here want on players.

Ben Zaken, who sold David for an amount that today seems almost a bargain, was the first to pick up the numbers ahead of this summer when he discovered that there is a lot of interest around Hamudi Canaan.

4 million euros, this is what the strongest man in MS is asking for.

Ashdod for his great talent, and all the greats of the Premier League recoil.

An old man has a past practice whereby he lowers a price only when his talent reaches the age of 25 and then he feels he has served the club enough and wants to let him also pick up the contract for himself.

Canaan (22) is still far from the age of 25 and if his agent does not bring Ashdod an offer from Europe with the amount Ben Zaken is asking for, no team in the country will encrypt much more than a million euros and hence the connection will remain in Ashdod in such a case.

An old man is not alone.

The sums that teams want this summer to sell their players to Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Haifa or Hapoel Beer Sheva are only increasing.

Hapoel Beer Sheva has been very interested in two players in recent weeks.

The first is Eden Kartzev from Maccabi Netanya, the second is Eitan Azulai from Maccabi Petah Tikva.

Maccabi Netanya did not blink when it asked for Kartzev a sum of four million euros, similar to what Ben Zaken wants about Canaan.

A year ago, Eyal Segal, the owner of Maccabi Netanya, made a trade deal between Kartzev and Gabi Kanikovsky and signed his new contract to a three-year contract without a release clause.

Segal is convinced that he has the best Israeli connection in hand and as a result of Kartzev's landing in Alon Hazan's national team.

Maccabi Netanya is now asking for the high amount for the connection, and Maccabi Haifa, which has shown great interest in it, is also reluctant.

If for Kartsev Maccabi Netanya asked Hapoel Beer Sheva for four million euros, for Eitan Azulai Maccabi Petah Tikva asks for a lower amount, "only" 2.5 million euros.

Azoulay is undoubtedly a talented player and he is so young that his future is ahead of him, but the player who went down with Maccabi Petah Tikva to the national team has to pay Avi Luzon almost ten million shekels, so this is an unrealistic amount for the big ones who prefer to stay with their goods and players.

Another Maccabi Petah Tikva player, Or Balorian, receives a price tag similar to that of Azoulay.

Again sums that groups do not want to spend.

The coach doubted him, his contract is over, the price is still high.

Aviv Avraham from Maccabi Netanya only has a contract for another season, which makes him a more available commodity, since if they do not sell in Netanya now, the player will be free at the end of the season to transfer to Europe.

For this reason, Maccabi Netanya are also willing to sell their relationship for 700,000 euros, but he is less attractive to the big teams who saw how many times Bnei Lam sculpted him last season and did not think he should be an anchor in the squad.

"We need to concentrate on growing players from home," says a coach at one of the big teams this morning in light of the price rampage among the smaller teams.

"Only in this way will certain teams understand that it is not possible to ask for more than a million euros in the Premier League. It does not make sense."

The amounts the Nisnov brothers want Israeli groups will not want to touch.

The one who is also bombing is Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Osher Davida and Doron Leidner are very hot goods, but Israeli groups will not want to touch the amounts that the Nisnov brothers want.

Leidner is generally aimed at Europe and does not want to hear about moving to a team in the country, but even if he did, the amount that Hapoel Tel Aviv is asking for would leave him off the purchase list for the big teams.

"The price has to be brought back to be much more sane," says a senior official in one of the major groups.

"It must not be forgotten that beyond the high amount that teams want, the contracts of players who want to raise their salaries in this transition must also be significantly upgraded."

The small groups do not understand what to complain about.

"Until great talent grows or once we have good players, there is no reason to sell at a low price. There is a lot of money in the big teams and whoever wants you to pay. It is a free market. Everything in the country has gone up, so has the price of players. That is, he will stay with his players. "
