The Russian player, ranked 30 in the world, Ekaterina Alexandrova, won the title of the Dutch Libima Championship, which will be held on grass.
The Russian won the title after defeating sixth-seeded Belarusian player, Arina Sabalenka, 7-5, 6/0, to win Alexandrova the eighth title during her career.
In the men’s tournament and in the same tournament, the other Russian second seed, Daniil Medvedev, failed to win the title, after losing in the final to the Dutch surprise champion Tim van Reethoven in two sets without a response 6-4 and 6-1.
The 25-year-old Dutch player climbed 99 places in the world rankings, reaching 106th place in the world.
