Last night the Ile-de-France enclosure was tagged with several messages denouncing the working conditions of the workers on the construction sites.

Definitely, the Stade de France is going through complicated times at the end of the 2021-2022 season.

After the chaos that occurred on May 28, during the Champions League final, the enclosure created 24 years ago for the 1998 World Cup in France, has once again turned the spotlight on it.

On the night of Sunday to Monday, individuals came to tag the Stadium and its surroundings with slogans against Qatar, which is organizing the World Cup at the end of the year.

On these tags, we can read in particular "Qatar stinks of death", "Boycott Qatar 2022", "6,550 dead, 2,100,000 slaves, 1 filthy cup", "Sarkozy corruption, 15 M $".

These inscriptions were claimed by the collective "Red Card for Qatar", a group which claims to be

“activists of the Alsace-Lorraine maquis and Extinction Rebellion Paris”.

This collective explains its action: "We fully assume our actions, writings and words, especially since we do not have 6,550 dead on our conscience and have not touched a penny from Qatar, he indicates on their website.

But, given the violence of the Emir, taking into account the long history of political assassinations and his ability to orchestrate terrorist attacks, we wish to remain anonymous, as much as possible.

We use pseudonyms, reluctantly, and attempt to hide our identity online.

»

This action took place twenty-four hours before the France - Croatia meeting, which will take place this Monday evening, in the League of Nations.

Joined, the Stade de France informed “that it would not speak on this subject.

“Nobody knows if the inscriptions around and at the entrances to the Stadium will be erased before the last outing of the Blues.
