Things have calmed down around Robin Gosens.
Hansi Flick didn't consider him for the Nations League, so he tried his hand at another sport.
Bocholt - At the EM 2021, Robin Gosens was one of the few winners of the German national team and got stuck on the left side.
Now, however, the crowd's favorite has had a difficult six months.
After moving from Atalanta Bergamo to Inter Milan, he was hit by bad luck with injuries.
Thigh problems forced him to take a longer break, and towards the end of the season he was no longer able to get past the strong Ivan Perisic.
As a result, national coach Hansi Flick did not nominate him for the four upcoming Nations League games.

DFB: Robin Gosens runs his first triathlon
He doesn't put his feet up despite the summer break without games: Gosens completed his first triathlon in his home town of the Lower Rhine.
He proudly posted photos from the Aasee Triathlon in Bocholt on his Instagram channel: "My first triathlon".
With a time of just under 1:11 hours, the DFB star took 40th place over the sprint distance (500 meters swimming, 20 kilometers cycling and 5 kilometers running).
Gosens is also keeping fit for the World Cup in Qatar, for which he wants to fight for his regular place again beforehand.
"My goal and dream is to take part in the World Cup," he recently told the
Rheinische Post
.
"There was a conversation with national coach Hansi Flick in which he made it clear once again that I have to get the rhythm into play at Inter.
But he also said that the door is more open for me if I play regularly.
I have it in my own hands to do everything for it,” he revealed.
In view of the tired draw series of the DFB-Elf, Flick could definitely use the left foot.

DFB: Robin Gosens takes part in "Beat the Star".
Competitor Perisic recently switched to Tottenham Hotspur, so the way at Inter seems to be clear.
Gosens will also draw positive energy from his private environment: In the summer he will marry his school friend Rabea in a civil ceremony.
The two already have offspring together with their son Levi.
During the summer break, Gosens also doesn't want to miss out on a TV appearance: on the Pro7 show "Schlag den Star" he competes against former Icelandic international Rurik Gislason.
The show will air on July 2nd.
