The Betar Liberation Front fan group asked to check the failures of the Football Association and the Budget Control Authority.

Betar Jerusalem fans today (Wednesday) appealed to the Minister of Culture and Sports, Hili Trooper, to investigate the failures of the Football Association and the Authority for Budget Control regarding the club.

In a letter sent this afternoon by the Betar Liberation Front fan group, they wrote: :

A.

To appoint a ministerial committee to examine the alleged negligent conduct of the Football Association and the Budget Control Authority in the case of the owners of Betar Jerusalem, Mr. Moshe Hogg.

B.

Do everything you can to save the Betar Jerusalem club, after the bodies that were in charge of it were negligent in their role.

The fans continued: "As we hope you know well, the situation of the Betar Jerusalem football club, one of the luxury clubs in Israeli football with hundreds of thousands of fans scattered all over the country, is particularly dismal.

Unfortunately, Betar Jerusalem fell victim to the hands of businessman Moshe Hogg, who is suspected of having even the most serious crimes, including sexual offenses and large-scale fraud.

Thus, to our understanding, since Mr. Celebrates decided that his personal interest was inconsistent with the good of the club, he has ceased to invest money in the club.

Mr. Hogg allegedly put the club up for sale - but cited imaginary sums, which, in addition to the huge deficits created as is known during his tenure, removed any potential purchase deal from the chapter.

And as evidence has been published, even those who have expressed a willingness to invest in the club and were interested in acquiring it, have tried their best at the beginning of the due diligence stages.

Efforts to find a buyer on the part of the mayor of Jerusalem, a number of MKs and other high-ranking officials who want to save the club, also did not bear fruit.

Thus, the club deteriorated to a real low.

On the one hand, Mr. Celebrates continues to hold the club, despite his empty statements and without intending to invest any more money in the club he said;

"On the other hand, the club is accumulating more and more debts to suppliers and players, lacks any ability to put in a professional squad for the start of the season in the Premier League, and is in constant stagnation."

Fans continue to write in their letter: "In these circumstances, it would have been appropriate for the Football Association in general and the Budget Control Authority in particular to go into the thick of things and save the club from the hands of a celebrant. Supervise the celebrations and the conduct of the club during his time remain silent, allowing him to continue to ruin the club and the future of the Football Association and the Authority for the control of budgets directly related to their past failures and negligence in their performance in relation to Mr. Celebrates.

It should be seen as a reasonable possibility that the inaction on the part of the two said bodies at the present time is an outgrowth of their failure to perform their duties faithfully in the past.

Thus, for example, the budget control authority approved the club's budget last season, although the guarantees provided by Mr. Hogg were probably sufficient to cover only a small part of that budget.

It should be noted that, in a hearing held in the budget control court, the Football Association and Betar Jerusalem to repay three checks that Mr. NIS 3 million, ie, the control received meaningless pieces of paper as security for the operation of one of the largest clubs in Israel.

And if that was not enough, it was recently learned that the police found that the security provided by Mr. Hogg, a digital wallet in which NIS 2.5 million was supposed to be, was completely empty.

And all this, while the said digital wallet is protected by a password that was found solely in the hands of Mr. Celebrating and which was not at all required to be handed over to the Budget Control Authority - hence the possibility of realizing the collateral, which turned out to be worthless anyway.

Read and do not believe: In fact, the Budget Control Authority, whose main role, if not its only role, is to ensure that owners of professional football teams in Israel can meet their obligations within the annual budget they seek to approve, did not insist on being truly secure and exercisable.

Not for nothing, during the past season all the players and employees of the club were required to cut about 25% of the salary agreed with them, after the budget control authority announced that it could not guarantee their full salary.

Our eyes see, not only that the authority was negligently grossly negligent in securing the team's budget - but that its conduct even forced the team's players, who were supposed to guarantee their salaries, to cut their salaries.

To all this must be added the conduct of the club shortly after Mr. Hogg's long detention, so the club allegedly fired three of his players illegally, contrary to the rules of the Football Association, the labor laws in Israel and the players' personal contract.

If it was only Mr Hogg's thing we would not have bothered to mention it, but those fired players have filed lawsuits against the club - lawsuits which according to the rules of the European Football Association (UEFA) can affect the whole club in the foreseeable future, certainly in light of their good chances be accepted".

To conclude, the fans write: "We will not be able to end our letter without mentioning the many publications in the media several months ago, which show that Mr. is apparently celebrating his personal debts with the club's debts, and that he worked tens of millions of shekels for the company he owns. That the authority allegedly allowed Mr. Hogg to bring in millions of shekels to the club as a loan from an unknown source, thus allowing him to deepen the deficit in the group.

Here that yes, a serious picture emerges before our eyes, to say the least, that raises at least a reasonable suspicion that the Football Association and the Budget Control Authority have been negligent in their role;

We are well aware of the independence of the Football Association, but believe that this is an extreme case that can not be passed on to the agenda without those responsible giving the verdict, or at least providing explanations about The chain of alleged omissions that occurred in their shift.

In light of each of the aforementioned arguments, given their cumulative weight, and out of our deep concern for the continued professional conduct of the Betar Jerusalem Group, we expect the Honorable Minister to act without delay for an in-depth investigation of the issue. "Jerusalem and the football fans in Israel in general, who have also suffered from the alleged alleged failures of the bodies in recent years."
