EV Moosburg is already busy working on the squad for the new ice hockey season – and has now announced five personal details.

Moosburg

– With Sascha Haschberger, an old acquaintance is returning to the state league team.

The now 41-year-old striker wore the green and yellow jersey from 2001 to 2013.

Justin Stiebel, on the other hand, is new to the Moosburger squad.

The 23-year-old attacker comes from league competitor ESV Waldkirchen and seems to have convinced Moosburg's new coach Benoit Doucet so much that he took him to the Dreirosenstadt without further ado.

You can find more current news from the district of Freising at Merkur.de/Freising.

The lively, 1.67 meter tall lightweight is currently working intensively on his physique in order to be able to counteract even better.

In addition to visits to the gym, the new EVM number 85 keeps fit with inline hockey.

Stiebel learned to play ice hockey at EV Landshut, where he played in the student Bundesliga before moving to EHC Straubing in the U18s and U20s.

From the 20/21 season, the striker was part of the squad of the state league rival ESV Waldkirchen.

"I'm looking forward to the new challenge in Moosburg," says the 23-year-old.

"I think that as a team we will show interesting and exciting ice hockey, which hopefully the fans will be happy about."

"Haschi" will also train the U9 of the green and yellow

Similar to Stiebel, Sascha Haschberger also went through the youth teams of EV Landshut.

He then moved up the Isar and spent more than ten years at EV Moosburg in the state and Bavarian leagues.

In 2013 he was drawn again to EV Dingolfing in Lower Bavaria, where he was active until 2019.

From the 19/20 season, the forward joined the ERC Red Dragons Regen.

The return of "Haschi", as the 41-year-old is now known, is not only a source of delight for the fans of the first team, but also for youth leader Verena Hölzl, who has found a dedicated coach for the U9s in him.

Sascha Haschberger will wear number 66 at EV Moosburg next season.

The "long hair series" has also extended

With Max Retzer, Tobias Stuckenberger and Jonas Seitz, three more strikers from the past season will remain with the state league team from Dreirosenstadt in the coming season.

For Max Retzer it is already the sixth season in the dress of the green and yellow.

Despite his only 25 years, the striker can be counted among the leading players at EVM, who repeatedly sets accents with his impulsive play and radiates goal danger.

Tobias Stuckenberger, who moved to Moosburg after his youth at EV Landshut in the 2017/18 season, is also in his sixth year.

Jonas Seitz came to the EVM from ERC Lechbruck last year.

Incidentally, all three strikers who have extended their contracts were visually striking because of their lively style of play and their flowing mane under their helmets.
