FC Bayern is selling two goalkeeper talents: Christian Früchtl and Ron-Thorben Hoffmann are leaving the club with immediate effect - but they could return.
Munich – Hasan Salihamidzic cleans up the goalkeeper position and lets the young keepers Christian Früchtl and Ron-Thorben Hoffmann go.
Früchtl says goodbye to FC Bayern after eight years and moves to Austria Vienna, Hoffmann joins second division promoted Eintracht Braunschweig.
“We would like to thank Christian and Ron-Thorben for our many successful years together.
For Christian, the move to Austria Wien is the necessary next step in his career.
Ron-Thorben showed his potential in 24 competitive games at AFC Sunderland last season.
At Eintracht Braunschweig he will now continue on his path," said sports director Salihamidzic in a press release.
FC Bayern sells Früchtl and Hoffmann with a buyback option
According to
tz
information, Brazzo left a back door open and secured a buyback option for both goalkeepers.
Hoffmann returned from a loan to AFC Sunderland this summer, Früchtl was loaned to 1. FC Nürnberg until last summer, but did not play a single competitive game there.
The chance of appearances in the Munich professional squad was low for both keepers, Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich blocked the places.
Ulreich recently extended his contract by another year.
FC Bayern is now complying with Früchtl and Hoffmann's request for match practice.
Who will be the third goalkeeper of Nagelsmann's team in the future is still open.
In addition, Alexander Nübel is still under contract with the record champions until 2025.
The 25-year-old is currently on loan at AS Monaco and fought for a regular place there last season.
