Hertha fishes a goalkeeper talent from Bochum

Hertha BSC has signed young goalkeeper Tjark Ernst from VfL Bochum.

The 19-year-old received a contract with the Berliners until 2026. "Tjark is one of the greatest German goalkeeping talents, so we're pleased that we've convinced him of the prospect at Hertha BSC," said managing director Fredi Bobic.

Ernst will be training with the Hertha pros from the new season and is supposed to gain match practice in Hertha's U23s in the regional league.

St. Pauli lets Christian Viet move to Regensburg

Midfielder Christian Viet is not returning to second division soccer team FC St. Pauli, but is switching to league rival Jahn Regensburg.

Both clubs have agreed not to disclose the transfer terms, the Hamburgers announced.

Viet was loaned to Borussia Dortmund's second team in the 3rd division last season.

His contract with FC St. Pauli was valid until 2023.

Report: Barcelona prepare new offer for Lewandowski

FC Barcelona are reportedly planning a new offer for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

As the "Bild" newspaper reported, a new million-dollar offer from the Catalans could be forthcoming this week.

By the end of May, the Spaniards are said to have submitted a written offer for 32 million euros plus variable bonus payments.

Not enough for the Bayern bosses.

So far, the Munich leadership has insisted on Oliver Kahn's "Basta".

Lewandowski, who is willing to emigrate, should fulfill his contract by summer 2023.

Internally, however, a fee is already being discussed, from which point Munich will be ready to sell.

Successful trainer Baumgart apparently stays longer in Cologne

According to a media report, Steffen Baumgart is to extend his contract as a coach with Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln.

As the "image" reports, a new contract ready for signature with a term until 2025 should be available.

The 43-year-old came to Cologne from SC Paderborn last year and led the club into international business in his debut season.

The FC will play seventh in the last championship in the coming season in the Conference League.

Baumgart's contract in Cologne runs until 2023.
