Germany humiliated Italy in the Nations League.
The international press comments on the 5: 2 in Mönchengladbach.
Mönchengladbach - it works!
The German national soccer team can still win.
After the selection of national coach Hansi Flick had played 1-1 four times in a row, the knot burst on Tuesday evening in Mönchengladbach: Germany humiliated Italy 5-2, the Azzurri conceded for the first time in 65 years (in 1957 it was 6-1 against Yugoslavia) again five goals conceded.
For DFB problem child Timo Werner, the interim goals to make it 4-0 and 5-0 (68th, 69th) were balm for the battered striker's soul.
Overall, the DFB selection was clearly the better team, played mercilessly overwhelmed Italians on the wall and scored some fantastic goals.
To be fair, one has to say: Roberto Mancini's team is in an XXL upheaval, not much was left of the European champion eleven.
How does the international press react to the clear German victory?
