Homegrown Josip Stanišić shines in the national team and puts a scent in the direction of new signing Noussair Mazraoui.
Munich – Noussair Mazraoui, a new right-back, has just been brought to Säbener Straße, and a home-grown right-back is already making a name for itself.
Josip Stanišić gave a superb performance in the Croatian national team shirt and was even voted player of the match.

In the Croatians' 1-0 victory over France, the defender was on the pitch for the full game time and knew how to impress.
After initially dealing with Adrien Rabiot from Juventus Turin and Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain, he measured the last quarter of an hour with club-mate Kingsley Coman.
But Stanišić didn't care who tried to make an impact on his side.
He confidently fended off all attacks and impressed with a 100 percent tackle rate and a pass rate of 92 percent (source:

Overall, the young right-back was able to dust off the best overall rating of all players.

Stanišić already played for Bayern last season (13 league games/1 goal), but was unable to completely convince those responsible.
Hasan Salihamidžić looked elsewhere and signed Noussair Mazraoui on a free transfer from Dutch record champions Ajax Amsterdam.
Also because the previous right-back Benjamin Pavard is probably scheduled to play in central defense next season - even more than in the past one.
Mazraoui has therefore - with the right performance - certainly rightly imagined a regular place in Munich.
However, that plan could now be put to the test.
If Josip Stanišić keeps up his performances, he could explode this season and become a real option for coach Julian Nagelsmann.
