The ice hockey department of the ESC Dorfen relies on continuity.
Dorfen – Coach Franz Steer has extended his contract by another year and is thus entering his third season with the Ice Pirates.
The puck hunters have to lay the foundation for success in the winter season in summer every year.
And so the puck hunters in Dorfen are already busy again to strengthen their strength and condition for the coming season.
Both outdoors and indoors, the Dorfen head coach and several committed trainers in the youth sector strive to get the teams on track for the coming season.
Above all, the basic speed, endurance and strength in running and coordination exercises as well as in circuit training should be improved.
For the time being, the training sessions are scheduled twice a week, then three times a week in August, before going back on the ice in September.
Most recently, 63-year-old Steer spent a weekend in Berling at a DEB goalkeeper coaching course to further his education.
After Maximilian Engelbrecht and Andi Marek, Carsten Aurich from Grafing is the third goalie in goal at the ESC.
The 21-year-old, who was born in Munich, has gone through all the youth teams of the EHC Klostersee, starting with EV Füssen via Ottobrunn from the U 16 and is also available for the 1b team at the ESC.
Now those responsible for the ESC are still looking for reinforcements for the attack.
