According to the data published in the article, the teams in Israel receive large sums of money from the league administration compared to most other leagues across the continent.
Each team in Israel receives about 600,000 euros each season, the champion earns another 110,000 euros, and the other teams that reached the playoffs also receive an extra grant according to their professional achievements.
The Spanish league, which is considered the strongest in Europe, brings in about 30 million euros per season and accordingly its teams receive the highest amounts of money - the champion 900,000 euros, a little more than the other teams that also earn handsome sums of money.
In the Greek league, for example, the champion receives 100,000 euros, and beyond that, the teams receive according to their share in the broadcasting rights and the various revenues.
Olympiacos and Panathinaikos receive about a million euros, and the rest of the teams around half a million.
In the rest of the leagues the amounts are significantly lower.
