Erding/Bad Feilnbach – .

After the Bavarian Junior Championship on ice, the 17-year-old Erdinger also won the title in the team game on summer rinks with the U23 team of VER Selb.

Felix Karpfinger, Jannik Purucker, Maximilian Kloiber, Sebastian Sperr and substitute Mona Schiessl had won the preliminary round with 17:3 points ahead of TSV Niederviehbach and SV Windberg (16:4 each).

"We shot really well and worked as a team," says Karpfinger.

"We didn't let ourselves be pulled apart." The fact that the long-distance shooters have to adapt and shoot with feeling in team games is "no problem at all" for the 17-year-old.

In the semi-finals, they really turned up the heat and clearly swept the fourth-placed TSV Peiting off the track with 25:3 points.

"It didn't look like it at first, but in the end it became really clear," reports Karpfinger.

In the second semi-final, Niederviehbach beat Windberg with 18:10 points, and so the two best Bavarian communities met in the final.

And then it got really dramatic.

After six hairpin bends it was a 11:11 draw and things remained exciting.

"We just kept calm," says Karpfinger in a relaxed manner.

In the end, the Selber had just won with 24:22 points and could be happy about the Bavarian championship.

In the equally hard-fought small final, SV Windberg prevailed with 12:8 points.

Defending champion EC Gerabach had to settle for sixth place.

For the time being, Selb, Niederviehbach, Windberg and Peiting have qualified for the German championships, which will be held in Kühbach on September 10th and 11th.

There may also be one or the other successor.
