After three years, FC Bayern let former storm talent Fiete Arp go.

The people of Munich pay a million severance payment for this - and also benefit from it.

Munich – In the summer of 2019, Fiete Arp switched from Hamburger SV to FC Bayern as one of the greatest storm talents.

Expectations were high, especially given the transfer fee of three million euros and the high salary that the record champions paid for the 19-year-old.

After three unsuccessful years between the reserve team and the second division loan, Arp's Bayern Munich chapter ended in spite of his contract until 2023 - because Munich paid a severance payment.

FC Bayern and Fiete Arp go their separate ways: millions in compensation for former storm talent

Arp had already said goodbye to Holstein Kiel at the end of May, the second division club had loaned him out for 50,000 euros after Bayern-Reserve was relegated to the third division.

But the North Germans didn't give up afterwards, they absolutely wanted to sign the former junior national player.

This suited FC Bayern, Arp is said to have earned around four million euros a year - decidedly too much for his total of 13 minutes of action for the professionals in the first round of the 2020/21 cup.

According to a report by

Bild

, Arp and FC Bayern have now agreed to go their separate ways.

In order to terminate the contract, which was valid until 2023, the Bundesliga leader paid a severance payment of three million euros.

The 22-year-old is doing without money, but can now probably move to Kiel permanently.

FC Bayern ends the misunderstanding with Arp - and still leaves a loophole open

While KSV Holstein, a second division club, can look forward to its new player, another is annoyed.

Arp was trained at Hamburger SV, the Rothosen reportedly included a clause when the attacker was transferred.

This would have flushed another two million euros into the coffers, but the condition would have been 100 Bundesliga appearances by the Bad Segeberger.

Without even one game for FCB in the German upper house, the big misunderstanding ends.

Those responsible at FC Bayern left at least one small option open in order to possibly earn money from Arp in the future.

As

Bild

writes, the series champion secured a stake of 35 percent in the event of a resale of the striker should he leave the "Storks".
