The move from star striker Sadio Mané from Liverpool FC to Bayern Munich is apparently a done deal.
Several media, including the Süddeutsche Zeitung, unanimously reported on Friday that the Premier League club and the German record champions had agreed on the transfer.
The personnel had been discussed publicly for several weeks, and Mané himself also contributed to the rumors with repeated statements in social media and interviews.
According to "Bild" and "Sky", the clubs agreed on a transfer fee of 32 million euros plus a maximum of nine million euros in bonuses.
Mané should therefore receive a three-year contract until 2025.
Bayern's sports director Hasan Salihamidzic traveled to England for the negotiations on Friday, it said.
However, there was initially no confirmation from the two clubs.
Mané could replace Robert Lewandowski at Bayern, who probably wants to leave the club for FC Barcelona after many years together.
However, those responsible in Munich had resisted the departure of the world footballer until the very end because of the Pole’s ongoing contract – that could change now that a possible replacement has been found in attack.
Sadio Mané has been with Liverpool since 2016.
Last season, the 30-year-old scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 34 games.
The Senegalese had also previously played for RB Salzburg and FC Southampton before moving to Liverpool for an estimated fee of €41m.
His contract there ran until 2024.
Mané is FC Bayern's third signing for the coming season, having signed free right-back Noussair Mazraoui and midfielder Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax Amsterdam.
