Maccabi Haifa has recently performed tests regarding the Argentine stopper Mauro dos Santos, who previously played in the first division in Spain and recorded 85 appearances in La Liga.
In addition, Dos Santos was a partner in Banfield's historic Argentine league championship in 2009.
The brake has played in recent years in the East and has now become a free agent.
According to sources in Spain, the brake holds an offer from the Israeli champion and is interested in arriving.
His entourage claims that there was indeed interest but refuses to expand beyond that.
The Greens are close to joining Swedish right-back Daniel Sundgren and are also focusing on the striker, but are constantly checking for a foreign player in the defensive positions.
The Greens' priority is to attach a left defender but names of foreign brakes are also being tested with Dos Santos being one of them.
Now the professional team will have to decide whether to change the concept and attach the brake on which tests were done or whether they are left with the desire to attach a foreign left defender.

The brakeman's last team to celebrate his 33rd birthday next month was Rajasthan United of the Indian League.
Prior to that, he spent a short time in Godoy Cross in his homeland, in Tenerife in the Spanish sub-league and in the Japanese Alvirax Niigata, and before that he played in Spain in the uniforms of Leganes, Eibar, Almeria and Murcia.
These were Dos Santos' first teams since leaving Banfield for European football ten years ago.
