NBA: schedule and results
Curry on point
After his failed match last Monday, with an ugly 0/9 from afar, Stephen Curry was expected at the turn.
The double MVP answered present.
34 points, 6/11 at long distance, 7 rebounds, 7 assists in the victory of "his" Warriors in Boston (90-103), for Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals. The last of the series and the season, with the Dubs clinching the title for the seventh time in their history.
Four rings for Curry, like Draymond Green (see elsewhere) and Klay Thompson.
Unlike 2015, 2017 and 2018, this time number 30 clinched Finals MVP.
Deserved.
Well deserved.
This will silence the gossip...
Brown tried it all
Missed his subject in Game 5, Jaylen Brown has long allowed the Celtics to hope for a Game 7. In vain… If he lost five balls, the Boston winger compiled 34 points, 7 rebounds and 3 passes, fighting like hell in the second half and until the last minutes with Al Horford (19 pts, 14 rbs), who had not been seen so dashing since the first game of the series.

Green in the oven and in the mill
On his Game 5 momentum, Draymond Green made Draymond Green, pushing the tempo, being solid in defense and even having shooting skills.
12 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks for the heart of these Warriors.
He will be forgiven for his 5 ball losses.
Especially since the interested party posted a +/- to +16, the second highest of his team after the precious replacement Gary Payton II (+18), NBA champion like his dad, Gary Payton, in 2006 under the colors from Miami.
Wiggins, speak to the defense
We could have mentioned the boiling Jordan Poole (15 pts), the 7 rebounds of Kevon Looney, the impact of Gary Payton II despite discreet statistics (6 pts, 3 rbs).
But what about the defense of Andrew Wiggins?
After a boss match in Game 5, with 26 points and 13 rebounds, the Canadian finished with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, but also 4 steals and 3 blocks.
Precious.
FLOPS
Tatum, the air hole
We used to see a brilliant Jayson Tatum during the first three quarters in these Finals, less so in the fourth.
This time, the young (24) Boston star broke down at halftime.
11 points before the break.
It took until the final quarter to see him score his first and only points of the second period, with 8'45 left.
13 points at 6/18, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, 1 block and 5 ball losses for him.
That's obviously not enough for the Celtics.
Missed.
The C's bench brought (almost) nothing
Before the "garbage time", Ime Udoka, Celtics coach, only relied on three substitutes: Grant Williams, Derrick White and Kevin Pritchard.
They posted 5 small points between them.
Starving.
All with +/- that says everything about their impact: -18 for Williams, -26 for White and -20 for Pritchard.
Bullet losses as if it were raining
Granted, the Warriors have one of the best defenses in the NBA.
But the Celtics had slippery hands on Thursday night… They actually lost 23 balls!
The Dubs scored 27 points on those ball losses.
Impossible to win under these conditions, even if Golden State has committed 17 "turnovers".
“Game 6 Klay” was not there
Klay Thompson and matches 6, a long story... It was not perpetuated Thursday evening.
The second “Splash Brother” only returned 5 of his 20 shots, with an ugly 1/8 from long range.
12 points in total, all registered in the first period, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals to his credit.
Obviously, this missed match as an individual will not prevent Thompson from sleeping, he who is celebrating his fourth title there after suffering two terrible injuries, rupture of the Achilles tendon and the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee.
