For the first time in the history of Syrian sports, the female element entered the membership of the Football Association, represented by the national team player Nancy Muammar, who silently participated in many indoor and outdoor tournaments during the past years with the Damascus Governorate Club.

22-year-old Muammar, after keeping up with the details of football as a player and coach who seriously aspires to put important touches that contribute to the development of the game, especially female football, and by entering the Fayhaa Dome (Football Association), she began working with the rest of the federation’s members to develop visions to advance the most popular game in the world.

In a statement to SANA, Muammar said, "I ran for the membership of the Football Association and became a part of it, and I know that it is a great responsibility, but I have ambitions and ideas that I seek to implement with my colleagues in the Federation to advance the reality of Syrian football by preparing the young age groups to form the true reserve for the national teams."

We will work to spread the culture of the game for the female element, through training courses and scientific workshops for coaches, players and physical education teachers in schools, in addition to setting up a league for schools as the main reservoir of talent, activating the women's team, participating in external tournaments, and working to qualify women in Asian courses.

Muammar expressed her happiness to involve the female element in sports decision-making with her success in membership of the Federation. Women are able to provide a lot and have been and are still making a mark in the history of nations, noting that the female element will excel in Syrian football as it excels in various fields.

Returning to her sports career, Muammar pointed out that her beginnings began in 2002 with the encouragement of her father, and she joined the Damascus Governorate Club in 2004 and participated with him in many local tournaments and crowned with her colleagues in league championships on outdoor stadiums and halls in a number of seasons. She joined the national team and represented it in the West Asian Championship In Jordan in 2009, in which he won the third place, and she had a professional experience in the Iraqi league with Zervani Club and a training experience in the same club's academy.

It is noteworthy that Nancy Muammar holds two training certificates (B and C) and a certificate in management and organization from the International Football Association in 2006, in addition to certificates in organizing and managing conferences and sporting events, most notably the Bakr Elna project in the Governorate Club.
