Lovro Zvonarek is already being compared to world star Luka Modric in Croatia – now he has switched to Bayern Munich.

Munich - It's exciting transfer days at FC Bayern Munich!

On Friday, sports director Hasan Salihamidzic bagged the biggest deal of the summer so far: the change from Sadio Mané is a done deal, the German champions signed the striker from Liverpool FC for 32 million euros (nine million could be added as bonuses).

The 30-year-old Senegalese is supposed to complete his medical check-up on Tuesday and then sign a three-year contract. The presentation could then take place directly on Wednesday – possibly on a large scale: there are apparently considerations of presenting Mané in the Allianz Arena.

The Allianz Arena is still a bit away for another new signing from FC Bayern.

But there is a good chance that a 17-year-old Croatian will one day step onto the big stage of world football: Lovro Zvonarek.

The midfielder is moving to Munich this summer and is considered an exceptional talent in his home country.

His discoverer Tomislav Stipic once said to the

: "He has the ability to become the new Luka Modric.

The overall package is sensational.” The “new Luka Modric” has now completed his first session at FCB and trained with the second team on Saturday.

Lovro Zvonarek: FC Bayern Munich has a new super talent

Zvonarek was born in 2005 in Čakovec in northern Croatia, not far from the borders of Slovenia and Hungary.

Shortly after his 16th birthday he made his professional debut for first division club Slaven Belupo, followed by 21 further appearances for the attacking midfielder, most recently even with the captain's armband.

This made him the youngest captain of a European top division club.

It almost goes without saying that he is also the youngest goalscorer in Croatian first division history.

Zvonarek has gone through all of Croatia's youth national teams and is considered extremely variable on offense.

Incidentally, FC Bayern secured the services of the rough diamond a year ago.

After a trial in spring, they wanted to sign the then 15-year-old immediately, but Zvonarek wanted to continue playing in his home country.

So he stayed in Croatia for another year, but now he has arrived in Germany.

FC Bayern sign Croatian child prodigy: Lovro Zvonarek directly a Nagelsmann option?

The child prodigy is said to cost 1.8 million euros, and the transfer fee could increase to 4.5 million euros, according to reports.

Slaven Belupo trainer Zoran Zekic raves about

and

Goal

: "He moves very well without the ball. But he always knows what to do with the ball too.

He has incredible pass timing, he always plays vertically."

What does the Zvonarek plan look like now?

First of all, the second team will train, the pros won't start the new season until July 8th.

It is unlikely that Zvonarek, as an established first division player, will only play in the FCB reserve in the Regionalliga Bayern.

It is quite possible that coach Julian Nagelsmann will give him one or two chances.

Luka Modric was loaned out several times as a teenager.

This may also be an alternative for FC Bayern.

It hardly harmed the later world footballer in his development.

Another Bayern talent, on the other hand, says goodbye to Munich: Lars Lukas Mai is moving to Switzerland.
