The Israeli duo in artistic swimming, Eden Belcher and Shelly Bobricki, tonight (Sunday) recorded a record achievement for a duet at the World Championships, when they finished in tenth place at the World Championships in Budapest in the final of the technical exercise.
The two, under the guidance of coaches Anna Teres and Svetlana Belcher, became the first Israeli women to ever participate in a duet final at a world championship and record the best achievement in the history of Israel.
Belcher from Hapoel Beit Shemesh and Bobritzky from the ALA Mazkeret Batya team for their performance was 84.2990 points, an improvement of a little over two tenths of the score they received in the qualifiers, and it consisted of 25.5 points for the performance, 25.6 points for the artistic impression and 33.1990 points on the elements.
The winner of the competition and the gold medal was the Chinese duet, with the Ukrainian team winning the silver medal and the Austrian team duet Bard.
Later in the competition, the Israeli duet also expects the free duet, and of course the group exercises and the final of the combo exercise that will be held tomorrow afternoon.
