Liverpool legend blasts Bayern Mané transfer: 'Far from a challenge'

FC Bayern will sign Sadio Mané from Liverpool FC.

A mega transfer for the Bundesliga.

But not for the attacker, as a Liverpool legend is now saying.

Munich – The contract with FC Bayern has not yet been signed, but Sadio Mané's transfer to the German record champions is fixed.

A new superstar is coming to the Bundesliga!

Great for soccer Germany and the FCB fans.

However, not everyone thinks Mané's decision is great.

There are critical voices, especially from the Reds camp.

Somewhere also understandable, but Anfield Road loses a spectacular player.

A Liverpool legend is now really etching in the direction of Mané!

For Dean Saunders, a former Liverpool striker, the 30-year-old's upcoming move to Bayern Munich is tantamount to a step backwards.

"Nothing against the club, it's a great club.

But the league is nowhere near a challenge for Mané," Saunders said on sports radio station

The lack of competition for Bayern in the league.

Therefore, Saunders complains: "Mané will sit in his armchair, light a cigar, play third gear for Bayern and ruin the best two years of his life as a footballer for two years".

Will Mané really be bored in the Bundesliga?

At Liverpool FC and in the Premier League he shot everything short and small.

Scored 120 goals in 259 games.

He also scored 21 times in the league in two seasons for Southampton, for which Mané played ahead of Liverpool.

Most recently, Mané led his home country to triumph at the Africa Cup.

Earlier this year, Senegal beat Egypt in the final - and Mané scored the winning goal on penalties.

"This title is something very special for me, my whole country has been waiting for it and I'm incredibly proud that we're finally bringing the trophy home," Mané told

Mané has made 89 appearances for Senegal, scoring 31 goals.

At least Mané scored a goal at the 2018 World Cup, but it was over after the preliminary round.

That should now change at the Winter World Cup in Qatar.

Before that, Mané wants to rock at Bayern!

When it comes to scoring goals, Mané is following in big footsteps with the German record champions.

World footballer Robert Lewandowski is known to want to leave FC Bayern this summer - and would like to switch to FC Barcelona now.

Lewy's contract expires in 2023 and the attacker decided not to extend it.
