Cock-a-doodle Doo !
On the Sachsenring circuit, in the former East Germany, Fabio Quartararo has once again demonstrated that he is currently the Kaiser of the discipline.
As in Barcelona two weeks ago, the reigning world champion rode the perfect race and took advantage of the vagaries to win his 3rd Grand Prix of the season in ten races, his 6th podium.
He consolidates his position as leader in the standings with a 34-point lead over the Spaniard Aleix Espargaro.
Arriving 2nd, Johann Zarco steals 3rd place on the podium overall from the Italian Enea Bastianini.

Under overwhelming heat (more than 50° on the track) and in front of 95,000 spectators, "El Diablo", who started on the front row alongside Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati-Lenovo), passed his Italian rival from the first corner while Zarco on his Ducati is overtaken by Aleix Espargaro.
The 2nd Frenchman on the grid regained his 3rd place two laps later when the first race incident occurred with the fall of Bagnaia who was trying to hang on behind Quartararo's tire.
The tricolor double is emerging, as during the Portuguese Grand Prix at the end of April.
Behind, Espargaro and his teammate Maverick Vinales are left behind.

The Yamaha rider, who, like only two other competitors, took on the challenge of fitting a medium tire at the rear, is still under threat from his compatriot who remains under two seconds behind during the first fifteen laps.
Behind, Espargaro and his teammate Maverick Vinales are left behind.
It only remains for the Niçois to manage his lead while Johann Zarco holds the Spaniard and the Australian Jack Miller to four seconds.
Without rival, Quartararo succeeds Marc Marquez, winner of the previous eight editions and will even offer his boots to French supporters who have made the trip.
The Marseillaise can sound once again on the podium.
