A day after she was crowned European champion in artistic gymnastics, Daria Atmanov, continues her great ability when she won the silver medal today (Sunday) in the hoop exercise at the prestigious championship, held at the Expo in Tel Aviv.
Atmanov, 16, who is considered the heiress of Linoy Ashram, first participated in the final of the hoop exercise, which was surpassed by the eight gymnasts with the highest score in the qualifiers, when she presented a clean and impressive exercise, which earned her loud applause from the crowd.
In the end, the scoreboard showed 34.9 points, while the gold medal was won by the Italian Sofia Refaeli with 36 points from Bulgaria and Boriana Klein with 33.9 points.
This is Israel's best European championship ever, when in addition to winning the multi-event of Atmanov (the only competition to award a medal at the Olympics), the new team gymnastics team also went up to receive the gold medal.
