SpVgg Unterhaching's approximately four-week pre-season preparation for the Bavarian regional football league starts today, Monday.

SpVgg head coach Sandro Wagner can look forward to the start of training this Monday at 10 a.m. in the sports park a little more relaxed than last year.

In his second season as coach of the regional league team, the 34-year-old from Munich now welcomes a largely complete squad.

In the previous season, when Wagner had been signed by the club late and could no longer influence the composition of the squad, this was not the case

Unlike a year ago, after being relegated from the 3rd division, the fourth in the past regional league season seems well prepared for the season opener on July 14 in Buchbach.

Important transfers have already been made, four external newcomers have been introduced in the past few weeks and days, which should strengthen the team very well.

Lots of experience in higher leagues

The newly signed quartet are veterans with a lot of experience in higher leagues.

The new number one René Vollath (32) should take on a leading role in the goalkeeper position.

Haching returnee Maximilian Welzmüller (32) should give the defensive midfield even more stability.

And for the offensive, the two newcomers Sebastian Maier (28) from the third division relegated Türkgücü Munich and Mathias Fetsch (33) from the regional division Kickers Offenbach.

In the event that the injured striker Stephan Hain will probably still need some time until he is fully recovered, these are two extremely important reinforcements for the offensive faction.

The four departures of central defender Felix Göttlicher (20; Aue), Jannis Turtschan (20; FC St. Pauli II) as well as goalkeeper Kevin Darmstädter (25) and Alexander Kaltner (22; both still without a new club) have more than Hachinger compensated.

With a healthy mixture of several old hands and up-and-coming talents, Haching should at least be able to achieve fourth place from last year.

Until the end of the transfer period on August 31, however, SpVgg must hope that one or the other player they are courting – such as top scorer Patrick Hobsch (27) – will stay at the Unterhachinger Sportpark.
