Hapoel Tel Aviv: Gurfinkel and Grechkin marked as an alternative to Leidner | Israel Today

Hapoel Tel Aviv hope to sell one of their senior players in the near future, otherwise they will have a big budget problem for the coming season.

This situation also affects at this point the whole issue of procurement, as the Reds had hoped to attach a high-paying foreigner brake and striker this season, but now they will have to compromise.

The most prominent player who may be sold is, of course, Israel national team defender Doron Leidner, who made very great progress last season, and there is an attempt to match him to several teams in Europe.

Hapoel claim that they want to get for the player an amount ranging around 2-3 million euros, but it is estimated that if an offer is received for him, even at a lower price than the requirements now, then he will be sold.

"Israel Today" has learned that the Reds have marked two possible candidates to replace Leidner, in case he is sold.

The first is Yahav Gurfinkel, who is looking for a new team abroad and is also being returned by Maccabi Netanya, and the second is Betar Jerusalem's left defender Max Grechkin, who announced that he is demanding to leave the team, even though the option on him has been exercised.

If Leidner is not sold to a team in Europe, the Reds will make an attempt to add a less senior left-back, in order to have a worthy replacement staff for Leidner when needed.

The one who is expected to join the team soon is Dor Alo, who will come to compete for the place in the lineup with Ben Bitton.

Following the expected arrival of Ella, it seems that defender Alon Azogi will soon be on loan, apparently to Hapoel Jerusalem, which survived last season in the league and is interested in joining it.
