And if Versailles were invited to the capital?

Promoted to National 1, the Yvelines club is considering the possibility of playing its home matches in the rugby players' den of the Stade Français.

As National 1 matches are played on Friday nights, the Montbauron stadium cannot host a match next season because it cannot be equipped with lighting pylons.

The land is too close to the Palace of Versailles and no source of light should be visible from the King's bedroom within a radius of 5 km.

A concern that has already forced FC Versailles to play its round of 16 Coupe de France this season in Toulouse (L2).

The Yvelines club must therefore find a fallback ground.

The track that holds the rope remains the Michel-Hidalgo stadium, den of the Entente SSG (relegated to N3) and located in Saint-Gratien (Val-d'Oise), because the two cities are 30 km apart.

A one-year agreement must be signed thanks in particular to Marc Mohamed, former sports director of the Entente, who now takes care of the administrative management of the FC Versailles flag team.

The lawn has just been redone and it will be able to support a match every week alternating with that of the Entente.

But the leaders are seriously considering the possibility of playing at the Jean-Bouin stadium, a few dozen meters from the Parc des Princes.

There are several reasons.

First, the route for the Yvelin supporters, which will require at least an hour and a half on Friday evening to reach Versailles in Saint-Gratien, while the Jean-Bouin stadium is closer.

Playing in Paris is also the guarantee of benefiting from better visibility.

The rental cost could be amortized by new partners.

The arrival of the City real estate group as a shareholder has allowed FC Versailles to change dimension for a year and a half.

His budget was 2.8 million euros and could reach 3.5 million euros next season.

The Yvelines team still has two weeks to decide before submitting the entry file on June 30.
