Attacker Sadio Mané is in Munich and is completing the medical check.
Some of the greats of the sport have already commented on FC Bayern's transfer coup.
A selection.
Munich – FC Bayern has probably managed a real transfer coup: Sadio Mané, 30-year-old Senegalese attacker, is moving from Liverpool to the Isar – provided the medical check does not reveal any abnormalities.
Mané is to sign a three-year contract on Säbener Strasse and become one of the top earners in Munich.
Proud 20 million euros are to flow annually.
The fee will probably be 32 million euros plus possible bonus payments to Liverpool FC.
Mané landed in Munich on Tuesday and completed the medical check there, the official presentation in the Allianz Arena is said to take place on Wednesday.
The Senegalese has played for Liverpool since 2016, making 269 competitive appearances and scoring 120 goals.
Before that, he played for Southampton FC for two years, between 2012 and 2014 he wore the jersey for RB Salzburg.
Reactions to Bayern Munich's Mané coup: Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher mourns
As is usual with a transfer of such quality, the first reactions were not long in coming.
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher commented on Twitter a few days ago when the transfer was already hinted at.
Carragher, who is now a pundit on British television, wrote: "My favorite Liverpool player Sadio Mané is finally leaving the club.
Straightforward, performs well and never hurt!
Trophies and goals galore, a true Liverpool legend.
Thank you Sadio.”
Sky expert Lothar Matthäus, on the other hand, was enthusiastic about his ex-club's transfer coup and wrote in his column: "Mané is an exceptional and different player.
He provided goals and assists with Liverpool in a way and with a regularity that very few other players in the world have managed to do in recent years." Not only because of this is the attacker "for FC Bayern, but also for the whole Bundesliga is fantastic,” said the 1990 world champion.

And a current player from the German record champions has already commented on the Mané transfer: Thomas Müller.
And that too in the typical Müller way.
The German national player was at a golf tournament on Tuesday and was asked about his opinion on the change.
Müller asked with a grin on his lips whether it was already official.
When the answer was yes, Müller admitted that he had already spoken to Claudio Pizarro, who was also there, and that he was "very satisfied".

Mané is a "top player who will bring us forward." A reporter asks what he hopes for from him.
Müller then says dryly: "Many birdies" and laughs.
In golf, a birdie means putting the golf ball in the hole with one stroke under the stipulated number - definitely a worthwhile achievement.
Laughing, Pizarro and Müller then end the short interview.
The change seems to be in a good mood for former and current Bayern stars.
