The largest international conference in the history of the Israeli Basketball Association and basketball in general opened today (Tuesday) at a hotel in Moshav Regba.
The conference, which will run until Thursday, will be attended by more than 200 coaches who have come from many countries, including Morocco, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Turkey, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Germany and more.
The conference, which is being held in collaboration with FIBA, will include lectures by Gordon Herbert, coach of the German national team, Pini Gershon, professional director of the Israeli national team, Sharon Drucker, coach of the Israeli women's team, Oren Aharoni, reserve national team coach, Arik Shibek, former Israel national team coach And former Austrian Martin Schiller, coach of Zelgris Kaunas, coach of the reserve team Oren Aharoni and Neta Kromer, of Israel's girls' academies.
Also participating are other senior coaches such as the veteran Italian Emanuel Mulin, who is in charge of physical fitness in the Serbian national teams, senior members of the Czech and Polish basketball youth academies, Israel women's national team coach Sharon Drucker and more.
The conference will feature models from different countries for the training of young teams and youth departments in clubs, and is attended by more than 100 coaches and assistant coaches in the youth departments and alumni groups in Israel.
The conference is part of the broad program for the development of the association's coaches, and is coordinated by Dr. Itzik Ben Melech, who is responsible, among other things, for training in the basketball association.
