The lions warn against using image or word marks without permission.

Munich – Apparently it has crashed several times in the past.

The press release from Tuesday morning, which was also published on the lion's website, can hardly be understood otherwise.

"Before the upcoming season, which we are all very much looking forward to, TSV Munich von 1860 GmbH & Co. KGaA makes it clear that the applicable rules of the game will continue to apply outside the green turf and on the field of trademark rights," the club informed.

"In the course of the spin-off of the professional football game operations that took place in 2002, all trademark rights that existed at that time were transferred from TSV München von 1860 eV to TSV München von 1860 GmbH & Co. KGaA."

Those who do not follow the announcement of the third division must expect consequences.

"TSV Munich von 1860 GmbH & Co. KGaA reserves the right to take action against anyone who uses licensed image, word and word/image marks without permission," the club announced.

However, the association's management invites "everyone interested in commercial use with a product reference to discuss possible cooperation (supplier relationship or licensee).

In the past, fans of the blues who violated the trademark rights were repeatedly warned and even sued.

This occasionally caused displeasure among the supporters of the lions.

Do you want to nip future problems in the bud on Grünwalder Strasse?

When asked by Münchner Merkur and tz, neither sports director Günther Gorenzel nor finance director Marc-Nicolai Pfeifer wanted to comment on the subject on Tuesday.
