Two athletes from TSV Isen returned from the German Kickboxing Championships with two medals.
Isen/Lünen – There was silver for the young kickboxing talent Hannes Hörl, Dennis Schreiber won the bronze medal,
The German Kickboxing Championships of the largest kickboxing association WAKO were held this year in Lünen, North Rhine-Westphalia.
These title fights were also a qualifying tournament for the European and World Championships in 2022.
Hannes Hörl, who had just turned ten years old, had qualified for the German title fights at the Bavarian Championships in Vilseck with 2nd place in the U13 (up to 32 kg) category.
Due to his daily training, which he no longer only did with the children but also with the adults, he was well prepared.
His coaches Dennis Schreiber and Corinna Wolperdinger from Isen gave him excellent support in the preliminary training and also during the competition.
The reward for his courageous appearance was second place and thus the silver medal.
The young TSV athlete was very happy, as this was the first time he had taken part in such a top-class competition.
Hörl's trainer, Schreiber, had also qualified for the German adult class.
He too had finished 2nd at the Bavarian Championships.
In the class LK Masterclass (up to 74 kg) the Isener ultimately took 3rd place in the German class.
