The new leader of French swimming Léon Marchand won the silver medal in the 200m butterfly, behind the Hungarian Kristof Milak, who broke the world record in 1′ 50′ 34, this Tuesday at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest .
Three days after his title in the 400m medley crowned with a European record, Marchand, only 20 years old, won a second medal in the Hungarian capital with a time of 1′ 53′ 37, far from Milak, but ahead of the Japanese Tomoru Honda (1′ 53′' 61).
The Toulousain, who trains in Phoenix (Arizona) with Bob Bowman, the former coach of legend Michael Phelps, will aim for a third medal in the 200m medley this Wednesday.
