This is going to be interesting.
Naomi Osaka announced today (Tuesday) the launch of a new production company it owns, to be called "Hana Kuma", or in Japanese translation: "Flower Bear".
But what makes this business even more intriguing is the collaboration with SpringHill, a company owned by none other than Melbourne James.
The Japanese tennis player's new company will produce documentaries, as well as remade and non-remade series.
"I'm excited about being able to inspire people and tell new stories," Osaka said at the launch.
"These are stories I wanted to see when I was a kid and now is my time to bring them to other people as well."
Naomi Osaka is launching her own media company - Hana Kuma - in partnership with LeBron James and Maverick Carter's The SpringHill Company.

James, who founded SpringHill in 2020, praised Osaka's "grace and power" to the Times and said he believes the partnership "will help empower it and do more great things in the future".
Reports say the Osaka production company's first project will be a documentary about a former Hawaii congresswoman, Patsy Mink, who was the first black woman to be elected to Congress.
