"Israeli basketball has a place of honor in Europe" Israel today

The largest international conference in the history of the Israeli Basketball Association and basketball in general opened yesterday at a hotel in Moshav Regba.

The conference, which is being held in collaboration with FIBA ​​and will be held until Thursday, will be attended by more than 200 coaches who will come from many countries, including coaches from Morocco, Spain, Italy, Cyprus, Turkey, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Germany and other countries.

On the first day of the conference, German national team coach Gordon Herbert, Michael Schwartz, head of FIBA ​​Young Player Development, Daniel Shesher, professional director of Hapoel Jerusalem's youth department and others spoke.

Later in the conference, Pini Gershon, the professional manager of the Israeli national team, Sharon Drucker, the coach of the Israeli women's team, Oren Aharoni, the coach of the reserve team, Arik Shibek, former coach of the Israeli team and Martin Schiller, the former coach of Zelgris Kaunas, the coach of the reserve team Oren Aharoni and Neta Kromer, from the Israel Girls' Academies.

Also participating are other senior coaches such as the veteran Italian Emanuel "Lela" Moulin, who is in charge of physical fitness in the Serbian national teams, senior members of the Czech and Polish youth basketball academies, Israel women's national team coach Sharon Drucker and more.

Moulin, 62, who worked for many years as an assistant coach and also for a short time as head coach at CSKA Moscow and Real Madrid, as well as the various Italian teams, told Israel Today: "I am happy to participate in this event, I have been to Israel many times with Euroleague teams. But this is the first time I am in the northern region for such purposes.

The competitive level of Israeli basketball is always good.

Both the Israeli teams are successful and the national teams are doing a good job.
