Urbani Ness Ziona announced today (Wednesday) the signing of Amit Aharoni at the club for the next two years.
The coordinator (20, 1.87 m) is one of the broad staff of the reserve team, which will play in the European Championship in Montenegro this coming July.
Amit grew up in the youth department of Maccabi Tel Aviv, and won the national championship twice with the youth team.
In the last two years he played for Elitzur Netanya in the national league, and in the first season he reached the finals with the Yellows from the Sharon.
Last season, he reached the quarterfinals of the playoffs with Netanya, and recorded 9.6 points and 4.1 assists per game during the season.
Team coach Elad Hussein commented on the signing: "We are happy that Amit has joined the team. Amit is one of the most talented players in Israeli basketball, and we have seen that in Netanya and the youth teams. We believe in him, and are confident he will take the opportunity with both hands and prove he belongs to the highest levels."
