Championship Game Summary: Real Madrid - Barcelona 74:81 (Sport 1)
Yam Madar continues to pursue with all his might his NBA dream, and is already preparing for a second appearance in a Boston uniform in the summer league.
The 21-year-old quarterback has finished his first season under Zeljko Oberdovic in the Belgrade partisan on an improving trend, and hopes to impress the Celtics enough this time around to get a guaranteed contract for next season.
In between, he will take part in the Israeli national team's games against Poland and Estonia as part of the Mondobasket qualifiers, but the real goal of the summer for him is to get a contract in the NBA.
Last night, Deputy General Manager Boston Boston Engine also referred to last year on Madar.
"Yam went through a very mature experience on and off the field. It helped him a lot to develop, he made significant and impressive progress this season," said Ainge, who also serves as head of team development.
"Madar was a kind of star in Israel at a young age, and for him to go out of his country was a brave step. He pushed himself forward thanks to this move, I think it was great for him."

The Boston Globe analyzed Madar's chances of getting a contract with the runner-up, noting that "he is probably the most polished player to appear on the Celtics' roster in the summer league" and explained that "Madar has a certain chance of being on the Boston roster," but also clarified that " "His style of play looks a little too similar to that of Peyton Pritchard, who is already getting significant minutes on the team."
