With Sadio Mané, FC Bayern got an offensive machine.
At the same time, Hasan Salihamidzic is still fighting for Serge Gnabry's contract extension.
Munich – Those responsible at FC Bayern are currently trying to form an optimal squad for the future.
While players like Kingsley Coman, Thomas Müller or Manuel Neuer extended their working papers this year, other players hesitate.
One of them is the German national player Serge Gnabry, whose contract extension is still a question mark.
Hasan Salihamidzic has now given an update on the negotiations with his offensive player.

Hasan Salihamidzic makes it clear: "The Mané transfer has nothing to do with Serge Gnabry"
Sadio Mané's transfer is on everyone's lips these days.
Curiously, it was only a meeting with Serge Gnabry's advisors that fueled interest in the Liverpool star, as Salihamidzic recently said.
The appointment was even about a possible extension, Bayern apparently want to bind Gnabry in the long term.
However, the 26-year-old is said to have not yet decided how things will continue in the future.

In an interview with
Sport Bild
, the sports director emphasized that Mané's commitment was not a reaction to Gnaby's hesitation.
“The Mané transfer has nothing to do with Serge Gnabry.
We definitely want to deepen the talks with Serge again to see if he's willing to extend this transfer window," said the 45-year-old.
"He is a German international and fits perfectly into our team."
FC Bayern: Brazzo does not want to put Gnabry under any pressure at all – free transfer possible
Bayern are afraid of one scenario: If Gnabry stays for a year without an extension and then changes, he would be available for a free transfer in twelve months.
"We really don't want to go into the last year of his contract without hearing from him that he wants to stay," says Salihamidzic, who is already responsible for the unpaid departures of David Alaba and Niklas Süle.
At Gnabry, "no pressure at all should be built up," the Bosnian said.
"But one thing is clear: From the club's point of view, it would only be fair if a player did not want to extend the contract that we talk about how we can solve this situation satisfactorily for everyone involved."
Transparency and honesty seem to be an important asset in contract poker, which Brazzo would like to end sooner rather than later - preferably with a positive outcome for the club side.
Not being able to keep another top player, or even giving them up without paying compensation, would be negligent, especially in the year after the pandemic.
