FC Bayern has been said to be interested in signing Konrad Laimer for some time.

He now rejected a contract extension in Leipzig.

Munich – FC Bayern has already signed Ryan Gravenberch for the headquarters and given Marc Roca to Leeds United, but the record champions could still strengthen themselves with a midfielder.

For weeks, the people of Munich have been associated with the Leipzig high-flyer Konrad Laimer.

According to a recent report, the 25-year-old recently refused to extend his contract in Leipzig.

That would pave the way for a change.

Laimer has been active for RB Leipzig in the German Bundesliga since the summer of 2017 and has gradually improved.

A Laimer sale could more than equalize these expenses.

As

recently reported, interested parties could sign him from July for the transfer fee of 18 million euros.

With a view to the remaining term of the contract, the amount is quite high, but Bayern already showed negotiating skills with the transfer from Gravenberch and the agreement with Sadio Mané.

With the missed extra time in Leipzig, a reunion of Julian Nagelsmann and his ex-player is getting closer.

However, Laimer, whom the current Bayern coach once described as a "pressing machine", is not only in discussion with the German league leaders, some Premier League clubs are also squinting at the blond boy.

The relationship of trust with Nagelsmann could therefore possibly be decisive if Laimer ultimately had to choose between several clubs.
