The district league footballers of SpVgg Kammerberg have lost their first friendly in Schwaig.

It was still a good start for the newcomers.

Kammerberg

– With three training sessions under their belt, the SpVgg Kammerberg footballers traveled to their first test kick in the course of the summer preparations.

The district league team was doing well with the top regional league team FC Schwaig until the middle of the first half and their strength waned.

SpVgg player coach Matthias Koston did not want to leave this unmentioned when classifying the clear 0:4 (0:1) defeat.

The Kammerberg players have been preparing for the 2022/23 season in the Nord district league since Corpus Christi.

Newcomers Jonas Grundmann from league rivals SVA Palzing, Stefan Aust (TSV Indersdorf) and Maximilian Richter (FC Kollbach) are also there.

Offensive player Grundmann and central defender Richter celebrated their starting eleven debuts in the SpVgg jersey on Tuesday evening in Schwaig.

And Richter had surprisingly little to do in the first few minutes, because the SpVgg didn't let the strong offensive of the sports fans develop.

"In the first 20 minutes we set the tone," said SpVgg player coach Koston.

The guests were not a goal threat - but at least they made sure that Schwaig's player-coach Ben Held had to change.

"They got into the game much better then," Koston had to admit.

And goalkeeper Stefan Fängewisch immediately rang the bell: Held scored the lead for the favorite after a corner (25th).

As a result, Schwaig was the better team – also because the Kammerbergers’ legs were getting heavier and heavier.

However, there were no further goals before the half-time break.

"The 0:1 can be left as it is," was Koston's interim conclusion after the first 45 minutes.

Kammerberg gives Schwaig two goals

After that, both player-coaches changed.

The third newcomer, Stefan Aust, came into play for the guests.

He defended in the center and had to deal with Schwaig's goalscorer Raffael Ascher.

However, Aust was unable to prevent the FCS top scorer's double strike within four minutes (63rd/67th).

"We gave them the two goals by losing the ball," reports Koston.

A little later, Shahin Howlader even made it 4-0 (68th).

Schwaig had overturned the guests' pressing and then countered in an exemplary manner.

"It was a great game," Koston admitted.

Coach Koston pleased with the performance of the new signings

The Kammerberger Kicker learned the hard way from a team that finished third in the Landesliga Southeast last season.

Nevertheless, Koston saw positive approaches - also with his new players.

Jonas Grundmann started on the wing and later played as a centre-forward.

"He's doing well, runs a lot, but we have to dose his efforts well after his short break because of the relegation with Palzing," says the coach.

He was also satisfied with defenders Maximilian Richter and Stefan Aust: "They did a good job.

Maxi defended inside and on the right, and Stefan lost his calm.

He defended well against Ascher.”

For the SpVgg it continues on Saturday at 2.30 p.m.

TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld is coming to Kammerberg for the next preparatory game against a top regional league team.
