Challenges CEO Nir HaCohen said:

"

The Sailing Event of Hope is a celebration of marine empowerment that has already become a tradition.

'Challenges' is active in a wide range of extreme sports on land and at sea and the event is a direct continuation of the extensive water activities we hold, which include sailing, diving, water skiing, kayaking, surfing and swimming.

In the various activities, the participants prove time and time again that with the help of willpower, any limitation can be overcome.

We thank the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality and the Harel Insurance and Finance Group for their significant partnership and invite the public to take part in the competition. "

"Challenges" was founded in 1995 with the aim of empowering and socially integrating people with disabilities through extreme sports in nature.

The effectiveness of the activities of "Challenges" has been researched and proven as a tool for personal empowerment, strengthening confidence and self-image, and expanding abilities in all areas of life.

"Challenges" activity is open to the general public of people with disabilities of any kind and for all ages.

The association has developed, for the first time in Israel, a variety of new sports in nature adapted to special needs: bicycles, rope parks, running and walking, sailing, diving, rock climbing and climbing, water skiing, kayaking, karting, surfing, swimming, hiking and more.

"Challenges" operates all over the country, and every year about 5,000 children and teenagers and more than 1,000 adults take part in its activities.

The activity is based on a large-scale volunteer enterprise of more than 1,200 volunteers.
