Faustino Esparia is remembered by world football fans of the 90s as an exciting player who scores exceptional goals, and also as an unconventional off-field figure.

The striker, who at his peak played for Parma and Newcastle and starred in the Colombia national team uniform, was once defined by Carlos Valdrama as someone who "could be the best footballer in the world, if only he wanted to."

Last year, Tino was declared bankrupt, after his debts swelled to $ 1.3 million.

The line of condoms he launched in 2014 and initially sold at a dizzying pace in Colombia also waned and Asperia ran into severe financial distress.

The next source of income that Asperia found was agriculture.

He made a living from selling sugar cane, but it turns out it's still not enough to get him back on his feet, and he's now considering another professional conversion - to the porn industry.

Asperia who was known for his revelry as an actor and also in the years following his retirement, has received several offers in the past to participate in adult films.

In Italy where he was best remembered from his days at Parma, he was courted by several producers in the industry, but he refused each time again.

Now, having crossed the age of 50, he is reconsidering it.

"Sex is the most important thing in my life. Even at my age, I have sex very often, and with many women. This is my life - a lot of sex, without rules. I live a natural life," he said in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

Aspria explains that "I have always been a free spirit. I never obeyed the rules. When my coach at Pharma asked me to run around town, I refused and explained to him that I was not Forrest Gump. This was also reflected in the style I played on the pitch. For me, football has always been "First of all, a fun game, without rules and without methods. I rarely watch football today, because everyone looks like soldiers to me. All they do is just obey the instructions of the coaches, they play like robots. I do not connect to it."

Asperia is known for its wild style, on and off the field.

Back in his days as an actor in 1999, he pulled out a gun and fired into the air after two local young women refused to comply with his advances.

In 2008 he was arrested after firing at police officers.

Six years later he launched his line of condoms, posting a provocative picture of himself alongside four naked women.

On his 50th birthday, Aspria invited a porn star to his home and declared it head on in the streets - but she refused.

He also launched last year a new product to increase sexual desire among men.

In 2019, during the filming of a movie about his life, he caused a stir when he revealed that in his days as an actor he was offered the heads of the drug cartel in Colombia to assassinate Paraguayan goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilibert.

It is likely that the next scandal of Asperia will be heard very soon.
