The back contact of the Ashdod Sports Club last season, Atta Jaber, signed today (Thursday) for two years with Naftachi Baku from Azerbaijan.
The 27-year-old Jaber ended his contract this summer and became a free agent, joining the runner-up Azerbaijan champion who regularly participates in European factories.
The contact played 30 games this season in the Ashdod uniform in the Premier League, and scored two goals.
Only recently did Naftachi get a tough draw in Europe when she meets Greek Aris Thessaloniki as part of the Conference League qualifiers.
The player, who was born in the village of Majd al-Krum, grew up in the youth department of Maccabi Haifa, and also played for Bnei Sakhnin before joining Jackie Ben Zaken's team.
