Amid the ongoing speculation about Neymar's future in Paris Saint-Germain's star ensemble, L'Équipe reports an impending contract extension.

According to information from the French sports newspaper, a corresponding clause in the Brazilian's working paper is due to come into force on July 1, which should extend the term of his contract by another year until the end of June 2027.

The newspaper reported on Thursday.

Neymar and PSG had agreed on the option in his new contract, which was announced in May 2021 with a term until the end of June 2025.

On July 1 of last year, a first option for another year until summer 2026 was taken.

Neymar has been playing for PSG since 2017, the rich capital club had brought the now 30-year-old from FC Barcelona for the record transfer fee of 222 million euros.

However, his whereabouts at PSG did not seem certain recently.
